During Bonaparte’s expedition to Egypt, the French general Desaix pursued the Mamelukes. Exhausted by the ride in the desert, Desaix takes shelter to catch his breath. Lying in the chapel of Osiris at Dendera, he saw an incredible bas-relief emerge from the penumbra of the ceiling, its zodiac signs, stars, planets. Shortly after, Chastel and Vivant Denon drew up surveys and sketches.
The Zodiac was discovered by General Desaix, Louis Pierre Aimé Chastel and Dominique Vivant Denon during Bonaparte’s campaign in Egypt on 24 January 1799. At the beginning of October 1820, Sébastien Louis Saulnier sent Jean-Baptiste Lelorrain to Egypt in order to bring him back to France. With the authorization of Méhémet Ali (firman of January 27, 1821), it was extracted in April-May 1821 from the temple of Dendéra, left Alexandria on July 18, 1821, arrived at Marseille on September 9, 1821, then arrived in Paris in January 1822, where it was finally bought by Louis XVIII in April 1822. Exhibited at the Louvre from 29 June 1822 and at least until 10 November 1823, it was then sent to the Royal Library at the end of 1823 (see letter dated 10/11/1823 mentioning the upcoming removal of the Zodiac), before returning to the Louvre in early April 1919. (Musée du Louvre)
In 1799, Dominique Vivant Denon who had discovered the temple of Dendérah with the army returns to draw for the first time the zodiac. Later in the same year, the engineers of the Ponts et Chaussées Prosper Jollois and Édouard de Villiers du Terrage made a more precise survey, which would be used for subsequent studies. The mathematician and physicist Joseph Fourier will interpret the zodiac.
In 1821, King Louis 18 bought the zodiac from the pasha Méhémet Ali. It is cut by the master mason Claude Lelorrain, brought back to France where it is displayed at the royal library (the current national library) then transferred to the Louvre in 1922. (wikipedia)
Today at the Louvre Museum, the planisphere zodiac is depicting the vault of heaven and its constellations. It was placed on the ceiling of a chapel dedicated to Osiris, located on the roof of the temple of Hathor in Dendera.
“The temples of Dendérah and Esné are the most recent constructions, and the zodiaques that decorate their ceilings represent the state of the sky at a distance of 4800 years from the time when we see them. What people have ever served astronomy so powerfully, and paid it a more solid tribute, preserving the results of their observations?”
Among ancient civilizations, we know the astronomy of the Mesopotamians, their predictions of eclipses, and their calculations by interpolation. Concerning the Egyptians, it is reasonable to expect at least, similar achievements. They also knew mathematics; and even, if we believe Herodotus, it is in Egypt that geometry would have been born.
I would also add the Celts and the Vikings, but we have no trace of them, these two cultures being reluctant to write. The druids indeed favored oral transmission. We therefore know very little about these very ancient peoples, other than that the Greeks and the Romans considered them as their masters: they sent their children to learn History. A knowledge that, alas, has disappeared. Hence my constant efforts to reconstruct it…
One understands all the better the wonder caused by the discovery of the zodiac of Dendérah, during the expedition from Egypt. See copy of the engraving that appeared in the report of the expedition. I repeated the subject on each side of the Goddess Nut, to bring out the details with a suitable colouring.
In the center, the goddess of the celestial vault Nut extends her protection over the viewer: the bas-relief is on the ceiling, so Nut is lying horizontally to exercise her protection over humans. Like all the ancient Egyptians, Nut is black as night. The word night, in French, looks a lot like Nut…
Around, kinds of waves symbolize the original ocean from which Nut comes. They frame a circular representation that can only be the vault of heaven, seen in projection at an extremely remote date.
The arrangement of this ancient sphere is very different from that which we see today, a change which is mainly due to the precession of the equinoxes; the quantity and even the cause of this movement are now perfectly known, in such a way that one can determine the epoch which the Egyptians had the design to represent.” (Fourier)
As of 1799, Fourier therefore gives this estimate: at a distance of 4800 years from the time when we see them. Which gives an approximate date of – 3000 BCEbefore common era.
Subsequently, other scholars, including Champollion, will interpret very differently: for them this zodiac only dates from the first century, that of Julius Caesar, the JC of the calendar. I have already emphasized this extraordinary resemblance between the initials of an invented character, JC, and that of this great general. As luck would have it, they are contemporary — or almost! We suspect it, chance has nothing to do with it.
There is no chance. Everything that happens is willed.
What a bath of youth! The Zodiac has just rejuvenated by 3000 years! We will be surprised by such an imprecision. However, the discovery of a bas-relief will validate this interpretation.
The bas-relief depicted in paragraph 23 of the report shows Cleopatra with her son Caesarion. There is no ambiguity: the inscriptions give their names. This bas-relief, as well as the other mentions of Roman emperors appearing in the inscriptions, all clearly indicate that the temple of Dendera dates, at the earliest, from the first century before Christ.
Cleopatra lived from 69 to 30 BCE, and her son Caesarion, also son of Julius Caesar, from 47 to 30 BCE. These are the dates given by the official history. Yes, but the credibility of the dates, you know what I think…
And there is something else, a major influence with almost unlimited means of pressure…
But for the Church, impossible to admit the existence of such an ancient civilization so developed in astronomy and astrophysics. Ancientvery! Egypt would have completely ruined the biblical data.
The very existence of Jesus Christ, the begotten son of God, would have been swept away with a slap of the zodiac…
Yes, I affirm it, the big bazaar of dates was designed and systematized by the Holy Roman Catholic Church, by its procession of Roman Emperors Popes, of Christ Emperor and of bad priests.
Many others more learned than I have provided numerous proofs, I have abundantly cited them, so I do not go back to them.
The Christian veto was vital to deny this impossible, unacceptable, suicidal hypothesis for the Church and its treasures: 4800 years ago, according to the Bible, God had not created man…
And to exercise this veto, the Church had everything at hand. Until the invention of the printing press, all ancient texts were reproduced by copyist monks, totally subject to the will of the Superior Father of the convent.
Umberto Eco’s novel The name of the Rose, and the magnificent film that was based on it, are more than eloquent on this point.
I have every reason to believe that ecclesial influence was exerted on Champollion and his clique of experts to inflect this catastrophic dating. The one they give is much more acceptable: a few years before the invented Jesus! And all that thanks to Cleopatra!! There is nothing but luck for the villains…
Yes, I believe that Cleopatra and Caesarion were added later, not by the Church, certainly, but by order of the Greek pharaoh herself. Feeling illegitimate compared to the powerful black pharaohs, giants of 4 meters, the tiny Cleopatra wanted to adorn the peacock’s feathers by becoming the equal of the previous giants. Or giantess? I have already mentioned the great Hatshepsut, a distinguished pharaoh who dealt with the Land of Punt, another Atlantis in the Indian Ocean.
It is therefore by express order that two carved figuresand even four: see further have been added in the ancient bas-relief — not to the ceiling on the planisphere zodiac, but on one of the temple’s walls. The addition is clearly visible in the following image. On the left, I enlarged Cleopatra so that we can clearly see the burrs around the addition. Two other bas-reliefs, those of Osiris and Hathor paying homage to Cleopatra have been crudely added, amid the ancient inscriptions.
Cleopatra having no identifiable crown, the artist gave her the horns of the goddess Hathor, surrounding a globe in which some authors see the terrestrial globe, and that I rather identify with the vault of heaven, the thousand stars on which the Great Goddess reigned. The one that the Hebrews replaced by a voracious dragon, which imposed itself through terror as the only god…
But if Napoleon existed only through his conquests, the Greek princess existed only through that escaped glory, and that magnificent title she repeated every day that Nut said: “I am a pharaoh of the greatest empire ever seen.”
What empire? These destroyed monuments, these vestiges buried under the sands? These soulless stones, these flameless ruins, these deserted and unlivable horizons?
Yes, it was the only glory of Cleopatra, her only reason to live, her only asset to seduce the greatest man of the time, Napoleon! Uh no… Jesus Christ! …I mean Julius Caesar…
And in the arms of Caesar, then in those of Mark Antony, Cleopatra takes fallen Egypt for a second Rome. Finally she understands why she came to this world, at that time, in this country …
